A FAMILY LEGACY OF ARTISANAL MASTERY

At Confituras Tradicionales, we are the proud heirs of a legacy.
Today, we are based in the Region of Murcia, but our story has deep roots in France — a land of jams and rich culinary traditions, where our parents learned both a craft and a way of life.
A craft that we continue to uphold today with the utmost care, pride, and responsibility.

Preserving Culture

Through Jam

The story of Confituras Tradicionales is that of a family saga with jam in its very DNA.
Today, the company is run by Francisco José and Mari-Paz Fernández, children of a couple of artisan emigrants who, under the Provençal sun in southern France, learned a craft and a tradition from the masters of Maison Octave — the legendary founders of that iconic house of jam.

This is why we like to say we are “two and a half generations” of jam-makers. In our artisanal family tree, we proudly include not only our parents, but also the master artisan couple who taught them and first introduced them to the wondrous world of jam.

THE PRIDE OF A LEGACY

After the generational handover in the 1980s, when our parents took the reins from the artisans who had taught them the craft, a new chapter began in 2021: our own generational handover.
We chose the beautiful
path of continuity — with deep admiration and utmost respect for the culture of jam-making, a legacy we are proud to carry forward.

With one foot in France, where we were born and raised, and the other in Spain, where our roots and our hearts lie, we continue to honour the techniques passed down to us. For us, preserving the excellence of true jam-making is nothing short of a cultural responsibility.

We owed it to ourselves — and to the culture of dedication and effort that shaped us — to bring our artisan jams to life and, through them, share a piece of our story with every palate seeking a product made the way it used to be. The kind of product that’s becoming harder to find each day.
